 The Fenwright Museum of Yester-year kicks off it's second year (really ?!!) with an old British show, "Robin Of Sherwood", starring Michael Praed.  According to Wikipedia the show ran from 1984 to 1986. I remember watching it on Showtime back in my youth.  Here is the Wikipedia entry , with more information that I can type.  Here is a fansite (and I tried to find it on AOLTV but the site kept crashing. So much for that.)

This version was created on "WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain" in 2004.  I used pictures from my brother's wrestling magazines for reference.  This costume is a variation of Randy's "Macho King" persona from 1989 to 1991

Today is anniversary of Batman's debut in Detective Comics #27.  I read about it on Bubba Shelby's Toyriffic blog.  This drawing is from November of 2007, when I decided to emulate the old drawing styles. 
There are a couple of mistakes and I will get around to coloring eventually.

Going over my stats the past few weeks, It seems that people are interested in my Black Cauldron post.  Not the ride itself, but they are searching for screen images I guess.  No other subject has as many searches.
I am thinking of making different pages for different subjects, but I can't figure the damn thing out.
I want it to be easy to find things.  My ideas are pages for

Tonight is the 20th anniversary of the short lived Dark Shadows revival. It was pure 90's... with fog and vampires that had big hair. A couple of years ago I could not get enough of it. But video was hard to come by, until Hulu and YouTube started showing it. It was also shown on Chiller, that horror/suspense channel. But back to '91... at the time I had not seen the original Dark Shadows, so this was all new to me. After the first half of the pilot was shown, I was hooked... I watched every episode( if it was not postponed by the news ). I started coming up with my own ideas for episodes after it went into hiatus, then cancelled. The cast was good, made me a fan of Ben Cross and especially the charming Joanna Going (look her up.. she's done alot.. movies.. TV..) It also featured a pre Highlander Adrian Paul.   Roy Thinnes made a good villian as Reverend Trask  in a time travel story (like Jerry Lacey in the original 1966-71 series.. good acting). Watching reruns made me a fan of Julianna McCarthy and Stephan Gierasch. Watching the original 1966-1971 version put the revival in perspective. Too bad the 1991 version was cancelled. Some might find it over the top, but it was made for prime time in the 1990's.

Another Long Year

As people can see, I have not posted since December. Modem difficulties and fatigue have contributed to this abscence. But fear not..... I have some good post Ideas coming. Maybe I will even do reader submissions. Should I do more of what I have dubbed " Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 Disney Park Showcase"? How about special day anniversaries? More old magazine covers?

1978 Peanuts Christmas ornament. I don't know much about other than it used to hang on the family tree for years. I could not find any decent Peanuts item to commemorate the 60th anniversary that occurred earlier.

Rollercoaster Tycoon Showcase: The Black Cauldron attraction

Welcome to another RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 post. I have many screencaps from my RCT 2 Magic Kingdom sims. Today's post is a ride that was planned but never built. ( I just found that out in October). But this was done before I read about it on the web. This screenshot is my version of "The Black Cauldron" inside and out. Though my facade could use work. :) I would guess this ride would be effects heavy with projections and other illusions. The Disney version of "The Black Cauldron" was based on "The Chronicles of Prydain" by Lloyd Alexander. More info on the books can be found on this Wikipedia entry. What a time I had participating in the Countdown to Halloween
